What is our Mission?

Our mission is to be a healthy and thriving community, fully submitted to God, that exists to make wholehearted disciples of Christ.

What is our Vision?

  1. To bring sons and daughters into an understanding of their identity and rightful place in the family in God through discipleship. It is our passion to love and empower people to have a sustainable relationship with God and others through life on life discipleship schools.

  2. To help restore a value for family through emotional health and life-giving communication. We are passionate about the health of relationships, and equipping people with a Kingdom perspective on family.

  3. To pump life and blessing to the body of Christ. We are teaching people to submit to Jesus and how to stay connected with Him in their daily lives. We desire to open up avenues for Kingdom nourishment to infuse all those who engage with our music, books, media and creativity.

  4. To center ourselves around Jesus through lives of prayer and worship.

  5. To maintain a healthy missional community that is thriving year round. We have submitted our lives to Jesus and are committed to orienting them toward serving the mission. We want to care for each other as we continue to joyfully carry out the calling Jesus has given us. We are contributors, not consumers.

In Discipleship:

Matthew 28:19-20: “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

  • As a missional community, we are committed to the process of becoming like Jesus for the sake of others.

  • We are committed to laying down our lives for each other and for those God entrusts us with.

  • We are committed to the model Jesus demonstrated of life-on-life discipleship. We choose to see every interaction as an opportunity for growth and transformation.

  • We are committed to the practice and teaching of yielding to the voice of the Lord and responding in obedience.

  • We are committed to outreach through: schools, internships, retreats, camps, community classes, worship, online courses, Cultivate, our handmade goods, and our media.

In the Work of our Hands:

Colossians 3:23-25 “Put your heart and soul into every activity you do, as though you are doing it for the Lord himself and not merely for others. For we know that we will receive a reward, an inheritance from the Lord, as we serve the Lord Yahweh, the Anointed One! A disciple will be repaid for what he has learned and followed, for God pays no attention to the titles or prestige of men.”

  • As a missional community, we view the work Jesus has given us as a place to work out our salvation and personal discipleship.
    - We choose to practice the presence of God in our workday.
    - We put our soul — mind, will, and emotions — into every task.

    - We believe the tension and agitation of daily work produces maturity seasonally which leads to true authority.

  • We value the process of learning and cultivating skills that can create opportunities to take ownership and become a powerful person.

  • We believe that the gift of working in team is an irreplaceable agent of growth, which sharpens our communication skills, conflict resolution, postures of honor, and creates opportunities to practice vulnerability and choose humility.

  • We don’t do denial, blaming, or toxic shame when we miss the mark. We practice ownership, true repentance, and restoration.

In Communal Rhythms:

Hebrews 10:24-25 “Discover creative ways to encourage others and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love. This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing. In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward as we anticipate that day dawning.”

  • We value the presence of people living on the land to create an existing Kingdom culture that people can enter into and be transformed by.

  • We view community living, in all its benefits and costs, as a vital environment for the maturing of our character, wholeness, submission to the Lord, authority and capacity to walk out Jesus’ command to love God and others.

  • We don’t do entitlement, self pity, or comparison. We practice finding an instead as we cultivate gratitude and remembrance.

  • We are committed to receiving the gifts of living in community by cherishing our unity, yielding our selfishness, and going beyond ourselves in love.

  • We cultivate a safe place on earth for people to encounter the love of God and grow in maturity. It is essential that our land remain a thin place before God; we want to care for it and protect its atmosphere by prioritizing the presence of Jesus and exercising the Fear of the Lord in our choices.

  • We are committed to moral purity and moderation in all things (i.e. in relationship to alcohol, media, sexuality, etc.)

  • We practice intentional delight, and rhythms of Sabbath -- working from rest, not for it. We don’t do striving, constant work, or self-neglect

What does this Mission Require?

  • A deep knowing that you are called to this mission by Jesus.

  • A commitment to grow and mature in your personal walk with Jesus. It is your responsibility to recognize your need, submit to the Holy Spirit, and ask for help from leaders. We have an expectation that you are recognizing cycles in your life and moving toward wholeness.

  • A commitment to repentance, confession, and humility.

  • A commitment to pursue and preserve unity in our relationships and the way we lead others. We don’t

harbor judgment or suspicion, instead we have permission to ask healthy questions and seek to understand.

  • A commitment to stay connected to this community and press into vulnerability, health, and love.

  • A resolve to serve God and others, and an understanding that servanthood is the foundation of all we do. A heart to be a contributor to the mission, instead of a consumer. (Get practical in ways you can give of your time, skills, affection, attention, etc.)

  • If you’re on staff, a willingness to raise support and confidently communicate your needs to a broader community.

  • A practice of body-soul-spirit care, intentional delight, and rhythms of Sabbath -- working from rest, not for it. We don’t do striving, constant work, or self-neglect.

  • A commitment to the fear of the Lord and self-control in every area of our lives. We are committed to moral purity, and moderation with alcohol, tobacco and media. If you are struggling with balance or boundaries in any part of your life, you are expected to walk in the light and ask leadership for help.

  • A commitment to our weekly gathering. As a missional community, we believe it is vital to have a “Kingdom family” moment every week. This is where we come ready to see each other and move toward love in a tangible way. Tuesday night is a time where we can grow in our rhythms of prayer, worship, waiting on the Lord, serving, learning, and yielding to the presence of God.
